Please do not send sensitive personal information unless we specifically request it and explain why it is needed.

3. Information collected automatically

When you use the website, limited technical and usage information may be generated, including device and browser type, pages viewed, approximate country, referring source, timestamps, cookie or local-storage identifiers, and interactions such as property-profile views and Book Direct clicks.

We do not intentionally use HWT analytics to store full IP addresses or identify individual travellers.

5. Legal bases

Depending on the activity, we process data because it is necessary to perform or prepare a contract, because we have a legitimate interest in operating and improving HWT, because you have given consent, or because processing is required by law. We may use essential cookies or local storage to keep the website secure, remember interface choices, maintain account sessions and support wishlist functionality. With consent where required, additional technologies may be used for analytics or performance measurement. 8. Maps, media and social sharing

Map tiles, embedded media and social-sharing links may connect to third-party services when you interact with them. Those services may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser details under their own policies. Social links do not mean that HWT receives access to your social account.

9. Property-owner accounts

Participating properties may receive secure dashboard access. Dashboard statistics are intended for the authorised property only and may include aggregated profile views, Book Direct clicks, click-through rate, traffic-source mix and available market signals. Owners must keep their credentials confidential and notify us if access should be changed.

10. When data is shared

We may share only the information necessary with hosting, security, technical support, email, analytics and website-service providers acting for us. We may also disclose data where required by law, to protect rights and security, or in connection with a legitimate business reorganisation. We do not sell personal data.

11. International transfers

Some service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, we use an appropriate legal safeguard, such as an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses or another mechanism recognised under applicable data-protection law.

12. Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, including legal, accounting, security and dispute-resolution needs. Retention periods vary by record type. Account data is normally retained while the account or property relationship remains active; enquiries and operational records are reviewed and deleted or anonymised when no longer required.
